Al Hakeem will provide hyperbaric chamber for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). The definition of HBOT, as defined by the Undersea Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS) is a hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO2) medical treatment, in which a patient breathes 100% oxygen while inside a treatment chamber at a pressure higher than sea level pressure (i.e., >1 atmosphere absolute; atm abs). It can be viewed as the new application of an old, established technology to help resolve certain recalcitrant, expensive, or otherwise hopeless medical problems. In certain circumstances, it represents the primary treatment modality, while in others it is an adjunct to surgical or pharmacologic interventions. Some of the application cases are given below:

  • Air or Gas Embolism
    • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning,
    • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Complicated by Cyanide Poisoning
    • Clostridial Myositis and Myonecrosis (Gas Gangrene)
    • Crush Injury, Compartment Syndrome and Other Acute Traumatic Ischemias
    • Decompression Sickness
    • Arterial Insufficiencies:
    • Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
    • Enhancement of Healing in Selected Problem Wounds
    • Severe Anemia
    • Intracranial Abscess
    • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections
    • Osteomyelitis (Refractory)
    • Delayed Radiation Injury (Soft Tissue and Bony Necrosis)
    • Compromised Grafts and Flaps
    • Acute Thermal Burn Injury
    • Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss
    • Diabetic wounds of the lower extremities in patients who meet the following three criteria:
      • Patient has type I or type II diabetes and has a lower extremity wound that is due to diabetes;
      • Patient has a wound classified as Wagner grade III or higher; and
      • Patient has failed an adequate course of standard wound therapy

AHAES will be authorised to sell or lease hyperbaric chamber in UAE to hospitals, medical clinic. AHAES will do site evaluation and offer turn-key solution to fulfil customer requirements. Proposal preparation, installation, commissioning, training and ILS services will be provided by AHAES. In addition; AHAES is planning to establish and own HBOT Center.
